3DExport’s Moderation Policy and Prohibited Content

At 3DExport, we recognize the differences between artistic content that includes nudity and that which is inappropriate for our site. Our policy is designed to accommodate the diverse subject matter published at 3DExport while ensuring customers have a professional experience on our site. We ask that all artists apply the following standards to their work as they publish it.

Prohibited Content

All content that depicts human nudity in erotic imagery, sexual contact, or minors under the age of 18 is prohibited. More generally, this includes content deemed to be pornographic, obscene, or blatantly offensive. For clarity, adult nudity is allowed as long as it is used to convey anatomical details relevant to the model. However, nudity that is suggestive of or intended for erotic, pornographic, or sexual purposes is not allowed.

3DExport does not allow 3D-printable firearms to be sold on the site or to be purchased for conversion to a printable format. We don’t take a stand on 3D printing guns. We understand that some view 3D-printed guns as a way to protect a free society. Others view it as a pathway to lawless criminal acts. 3DExport is unsure of a reasonable and responsible approach to the topic, and until that time, 3D-printable firearm models remain prohibited. 3DExport does not permit customers to print branded content for commercial or personal use, so any branded content that is primarily for printing or advertised for printing uses is not allowed.

With that in mind, 3DExport is the final arbiter of what content is prohibited on our site.

No Nudity in Signature Image

Regardless of the content of your 3D model, your Signature Image must not include nudity. Please either show a clothed version of your model, a head only, or a head and shoulders shot. If you need assistance in choosing an appropriate thumbnail, please contact a 3DExport Support Dept.
